Space, Time & the Weather
I surveyed dozens of house paint color systems, each with its proprietary color names. Eventually, it occurred to me that most of the blues were associated with the broad thematic categories of space, time or weather. I screenprinted fragments of names on one side, fragments of the paint color’s name on the other.
