Clear Blue Sky
Billboards often feature a product photographed against a clear blue sky. I liked seeing the printed sky against the actual sky, so I called up a billboard company and asked for their leftover sheets. Then I cut away the cigarette, the beer & the lifestyle until I was just left with an expanse of monochromatic sky made up of dots. Using a combination of paintings & screenprinting, I recreated those skies dot-for-dot,continuing around the edges.
