The Blue Books A 2-volume set of custom-printed paint colors collected by the artist from dozens of housepaint color systems. Both volumes are organized by color name. First volume: blue used as an adjective, e.g. Blue Horizon. Second volume: blue used as a noun, e.g., Horizon Blue. Published on the occasion of concurrent exhibitions by the artist in NYC & SF. Inspired by philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein's lectures on color later compiled by his students and published under the same name. Waterless offset litho on acid-free paper, case-bound with foil stamp & blind emboss, slipcased, ed. 100, 1998.
