American Types A 2-volume set documenting an early series of the artist's paintings — which were themselves inspired by a book. Specifically, a 1938 type specimen book. The artist began with several page details, enlarging & screenprinting sequences of words. It yields a kind of accidental concrete poetry. The artist made the paintings in two sizes and, subsequently, the books. Waterless offset litho & blind emboss on acid-free French-folded pages, case bound with foil stamp, ed. 500, 1997.
